Using Mahj Mates
Mahj Mates is an entertainment service for playing American Mahjong with friends or computer-controlled players. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian should review these terms with you. We do not offer an under-13 account or parental-consent flow.
Your account
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and use only your own account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed it. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. You may delete the account from Profile at any time.
Community conduct
Do not post unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, privacy-invasive, infringing, or otherwise objectionable content. Do not impersonate others, exploit minors, disrupt games, evade restrictions, scrape the service, or attempt unauthorized access. You can block users and report profiles or messages in the app. We may remove content or restrict or terminate accounts to protect players and the service. The Community Rules explain these expectations and available safety tools.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, display, and process it only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve Mahj Mates. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for retained safety, security, transaction, or legal records described in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions
Each human player needs their own access after paid access launches. Available plans, localized prices, billing periods, and any eligible introductory offer appear before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account only after you confirm through Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Apple before renewal. Apple controls billing, cancellation, and refund decisions. Deleting your Mahj Mates account does not cancel the Apple subscription. Restore controls are available under Profile → Subscription, and renewal can be managed in Apple subscription settings.
Games only
Mahj Mates does not support wagering, gambling, prizes, or exchanging game activity for money or anything of value. Results, recommendations, and computer players are provided for recreation and may contain errors.
Service changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms.
Disclaimers and responsibility
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
Apple terms
Your license to the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple’s required terms for the iOS app, Apple’s required terms control.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
